E - Beat.

E - Beat is an electronic beat constable's night patrolling attendance system to avoid manual recording of time & attendance and to save the time by sign-in / sign-off at different beat points while patrolling. Xiphias has developed the Electronic Beat.

(eBeat) for Police Department. In this process, the beat book is replaced with an RFID tag, which contains a unique ID, fixed at the location of the beat point book. The pen is replaced bya compact, hand held RFID Tag Reader which records the unique ID of the tag when operated near a Tag. The reader will be connected to an interface to the Computer at the police station to download the information of the various locations RFID tags data in the beat.

Each beat constable performing the night patrolling is assigned with one reader, while performing his beat duty; he reads the RFID tag information from various points in the beat and download the information to the computer at the Police Station.

Analogic's Hand Held Reader consists of a programmable Controller with inbuilt rewritable memory and flash based firmware with flexibility to upgrade reader software features. The reader also possesses upto 64KB of rewritable memory having a serial interface to transfer the data to the host Computer. The Hand Held Reader also will have built-in battery to operate for more than one day at continuous stretch.
